jMaki Integration with Eclipse

Installing jMaki UI Framework plugin with Eclipse


1.      Open eclipse IDE and select Help->Software Updates. This will bring up the Software updates and add-ons window. Select the ‘Available Software’ tab and click on ‘Add Site’.


2.    Type in the url “http://jmaki.com/eclipse” and click on Ok.


3.    A list of available plugin components will be displayed. Select the checkbox against the URL entered, this will check all its subcomponents checkboxes automatically, and click Install button to proceed further with the plug-in installation.




4.     Eclipse will calculate dependencies and requirements to proceed with the installation. User will then be prompted to review and confirm the installation of the plugins. Click on Next.


5.    Accept the SLA and click on finish. Once the installation is completed it will ask for the reboot of the eclipse, click “Yes” button to restart the eclipse.

6.    Once eclipse is restarted, select the Window >> View >> jmaki > jmaki Snippets View option


7.      The jMaki widgets will be listed in a view.

8.    The widgets can be dragged and dropped on to a jsp page. All the required resources needed for the widget to work will then be copied automatically.

9.    Widgets can be imported by adding the widget zip files by clicking Options->Add Widget from the jmaki snippets view.
